Lori Long has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In their current role as Client Vice President for Key Benefit, they oversee the Proactive Health Management Plan, a supplemental health benefits package. Prior to this, Lori operated their own consulting business, helping companies prepare for their current and future workforce needs. Lori also worked as an Associate Director of Business Consulting at EmployIndy, where they focused on increasing retention and bringing diverse talent into organizations. Additionally, Lori has experience in program management, client relationships, and event planning through their roles at Lakeland Business Leaders and Downtown Lakeland Partnership. Lori has also worked in education as a teacher and academic intervention facilitator.

Lori Long attended West Virginia Wesleyan College from 1994 to 1997, where they studied Elementary Education. In 2000 to 2001, they attended Trinity International University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. Additionally, Lori has obtained various certifications, including the Indiana Life and Health Producer certification in 2021, the Florida Childcare and Education Program Director Credential in June 2015, and the National Administrator's Credential in March 2015. Lori also holds Resident Insurance Licenses- 2044 and 0215.
