Jim McDonnell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in security and risk management, currently serving as the Sr Director of Mission Development at Nevada National Security Sites since April 2020. Previously, McDonnell held key roles including Senior Advisor at the National Nuclear Security Administration and the inaugural Assistant Secretary for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from March 2017 to January 2020, where the Countering WMD Act of 2018 was signed into law under McDonnell's leadership. With a background in strategic consulting through McDonnell Consulting Group and leadership roles at various organizations including I'm Safe Apps and TAS-Corp, McDonnell has demonstrated expertise in counterterrorism, corporate security, and critical infrastructure protection.
