Henrik Wann Jensen

Henrik Wann Jensen has had a diverse and accomplished work experience. Henrik Wann started their career in 1995 as an Internet specialist at Image Scandinavia. From there, they went on to work as a research scientist and rendering wizard at mental images from 1996 to 1998. Henrik Wann then joined MIT as a postdoctoral associate from 1998 to 1999, followed by a research associate position at Stanford University from 1999 to 2002. In 2001, Henrik worked as a consultant at Pixar Animation Studios for a brief period of time. In 2002, they became a Professor Emeritus at UC San Diego, a position they held until present. Throughout their career, Henrik has also held positions at Bunkspeed as Chief Scientist from 2005 to 2009, Luxion as Chief Scientist from 2003 to present, and Weta Digital as a consultant from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, they currently serve as an Honorary Professor at Aarhus University, starting from 2019. Henrik's work has been impactful in various areas, including developing ray tracing renderers, digital car design evaluation, and interactive ray tracing applications.

Henrik Wann Jensen pursued their education at the DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 1988 to 1993. Henrik Wann furthered their educational journey at the same university and obtained a PhD in Computer Science from 1993 to 1996.
