Jim Collins Ph.d.

Jim Collins, Ph.D., P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering. Jim 'smost recent role was as the Director of Structural Engineering at Keystone Custom Homes, where they were responsible for overseeing the structural engineering department. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at Blueprint Robotics, Inc., where they developed structural engineering plans for residential homes and reviewed structural plans for multi-family buildings. Jim also has experience as an Engineering Manager at MiTek USA, where they were responsible for obtaining code evaluation reports and product approvals. Jim has held leadership positions at ICC Evaluation Service LLC, ITW Building Components Group, Alpine, Roseburg Forest Products, Union Camp Corporation/International Paper, USP Structural Connectors, and Trus Joist, where they were involved in various aspects of structural engineering, including management, sales, product development, and software development. Jim Collins, Ph.D., P.E., holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Jim also earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from Rutgers University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in various areas including AutoCAD, Logic Pro X, and Six Sigma Foundations.
