Julie Rovner has had extensive experience in health policy reporting and journalism. Julie started their career in 1986 as a health reporter for Congressional Quarterly and CQ Roll Call. Julie then worked as a reporter for Medical News Network and a stringer for Elsevier/International Medical News Group. Julie joined National Journal in 1995 and served as a contributing editor for CongressDaily until 2012. In 1998, they became a Health Policy Correspondent for NPR and later worked for National Public Radio. Julie also joined the Association of Health Care Journalists in 2001. In 2014, Julie became the Chief Washington Correspondent for Kaiser Health News.
Julie Rovner completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
