Dr. Caroline Löffler

Dr. Caroline Löffler has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Consultant/Research Associate at EWI - Energiewirtschaftliches Institut an der Universität zu Köln from 2008 to 2012. Dr. Caroline then moved on to KfW Bankengruppe where they worked as a Senior Economist in Energy Markets from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Caroline furthered their career at KfW IPEX-Bank as Vice President Corporate Strategy from 2016 to 2019. Currently, they serve at KfW as the Director of IT Product Management, with previous roles including Team Lead/Product Owner in Data Science/ML and Credit Risk, and Project Lead in Data Science/ML and AI-Based Newsscreening in the Credit Risk department.

Dr. Caroline Löffler holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Cologne, which they earned from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Economics from the same university from 2002 to 2008. Dr. Caroline also obtained a CEMS Master's in International Management from CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education in 2006 and pursued further studies at HEC Paris. Additionally, they earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2017-2018. Most recently, in 2020-2021, they acquired a degree in Psychologische Beraterin/Personal Coach from Bildungswerk für therapeutische Berufe and completed a program in Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data-Driven Decisions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022.
