Sophie Turnbull Bosmeny is an experienced leader in the education sector, currently serving as the Director of Khan Academy Kids since November 2023, after holding the position of Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Khan Academy from June 2019 to October 2022. Previously, Sophie was the Head of Partnerships at Khan Academy from January 2016 to June 2018 and a Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute from January 2013 to December 2015, where significant research contributions were made, including work on the publication "Urban World: The Global Consumers to Watch." Sophie's consulting experience includes being the inaugural Women in Leadership Scholar at McKinsey & Company in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Earlier roles include service as a Legal Services Officer for the City of Melbourne and as Campaign Director for the Alcohol & Drugs Council of Australia. Sophie holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, a Juris Doctor, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both from The Australian National University, and participated in a study abroad program in International Law at the University of Vienna.
