Reuben Shamir

Reuben (Ruby) Shamir is a seasoned researcher and algorithms expert with extensive experience in the medical technology sector. Currently a researcher at KI Research Institute since September 2024, Ruby previously held several roles at BEYEONICS™, including Algorithms Team Manager and Algorithm Leader in Ophthalmology, focusing on the development of competitive algorithms and cross-functional collaboration. Prior experience at Novocure as Algorithms Architect and Group Manager involved leading a team to create algorithms for medical imaging and treatment planning, as well as ensuring high-quality development processes. Ruby's earlier roles include positions as Senior Technical Officer at Surgical Information Sciences and postdoctoral fellowships at Case Western Reserve University and the Edmond and Lily Safra Center. Ruby holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
