Deepa Srinivasan

Deepa Srinivasan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design and user experience. Deepa is currently working as a Design Director at Kickdrum since June 2021. Prior to that, from July 2020 to June 2021, they served as a User Experience Designer, working independently.

From June 2020 to June 2021, Deepa also worked as a UX Mentor at Springboard, providing guidance and mentorship to aspiring UX designers.

Before joining Springboard, they worked at IBM iX as an Associate Design Director from June 2019 to June 2020.

Deepa has also founded FallingWater, a UX Design Consultancy, where they served as the Founding Director from January 2015 to January 2019. At FallingWater, they were responsible for generating innovative design ideas and translating them into successful applications for web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

Prior to FallingWater, Deepa worked at DevFactory as a Senior HCI Consultant from January 2013 to December 2014. In this role, they led a team of designers and handled design requirements for various industries such as insurance, automotive, and project management.

Earlier in their career, Deepa worked as an Experience Design Consultant for various companies including Josh Labs, Annectos, FIBA Asia, and others from August 2010 to December 2012. Deepa designed user experiences for B2B applications and helped set up design teams for successful implementation.

Deepa's experience also includes working as a Senior HCI Associate at Versata from February 2005 to June 2010. At Versata, they focused on creating user experiences for projects related to Ford and its sister companies. Deepa was responsible for defining project tasks, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.

Deepa started their career as an Art Director at Ogilvy Interactive from October 2002 to January 2005, where they provided strategy and branding for websites and developed prototypes.

Prior to Ogilvy Interactive, Deepa worked as a Web Designer at Planetasia from February 2000 to September 2002. In this role, they conceptualized and designed various websites, as well as coordinated with the development team.

Deepa Srinivasan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design from Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore, from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended NPS from 1983 to 1993, but their degree name and field of study are unknown. Additionally, Deepa has acquired several certifications, including "Service Design: How to Design Integrated Service Experiences" and "Journey Mapping" from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) in July 2022 and June 2022, respectively. Deepa obtained the certification in "User Research – Methods and Best Practices" from IxDF in January 2022, and "Conducting Usability Testing" from The Interaction Design Foundation in December 2021. In July 2019, Deepa earned the "Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner" certification from IBM.
