Ryan Kwan

Ryan Kwan has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Ryan began their career in 2001 as an Assistant Technical Architect at NCSI. In 2003, they became a Consultant (Architecture Team) at Computer And Technologies. In 2004, they were appointed as Chief Software Architect at ParaDM LTD, where they managed the R&D department with 50 developers in Hong Kong and China. In 2008, they joined XML Asia Limited as a Senior Software Architect. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at HSBC, where they held various positions including Lead Development Specialist - Transformation Lead, Senior Development Specialist, and Assistant Development Manager. In 2016, they moved to BOC International as a Vice President, where they promoted best practices and developed toolings to transform legacy systems into microservices. In 2019, they rejoined HSBC as a Senior Development Manager, where they lead a team to setup the first AWS infrastructure under wealth management. In 2022, they were appointed as Director of Engineering at KICKS CREW.

Ryan Kwan completed their secondary education at King's College Hong Kong from 1990 to 1997. Ryan then went on to obtain a BSc(CS) in Computer Science from The University of Hong Kong from 1997 to 2000. In 2008, they graduated with an MSc(CS) in Information Technology from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2018, they obtained two additional certifications, a Professional Cloud Architect from Google and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) from Amazon Web Services.
