Johanna Carney

Johanna Carney is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Associate General Counsel and Head of Employment Law at GRAIL since March 2023, while also fulfilling a role as a Pro Bono Attorney for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) since October 2022. Previously, Carney held multiple positions at Zynga from May 2017 to October 2022, culminating as Associate General Counsel and Head of Global Employment Law. Additional experience includes serving as Corporate Counsel for Employment Law at Symantec and working as an attorney at Littler Mendelson. Carney began legal career involvement as a Volunteer Advocate in the VLSP Employment Law Clinic and has held various law clerk positions, showcasing a strong foundation in employment law. Carney earned a JD from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego.
