Ward Pyles

Ward Pyles has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ward currently works at Kids2 as the Head of Global Security & Data Analytics. In this role, they are responsible for creating a converged security organization globally and focusing on workforce and technology strategies to address risks and threats to the enterprise.

Prior to Kids2, Ward worked at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG™) as the Director and Manager of Global Security. Here, they oversaw and managed the security program, developed new programs to manage security risks, and supported teams for security architecture, risk, and compliance.

Ward also served as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors at Kennesaw State University, where they focused on building the department, students, and career alignment.

At The Home Depot, Ward was the Manager of Security Risk and Compliance. Ward led teams covering risk management, vulnerability management, 3rd party risk, app sec, and organizational governance. Ward recruited industry-leading SMEs and redesigned programs to align with industry standards.

Prior to that, they worked at Equifax as the Director of Global Security Compliance, overseeing and managing the cyber security compliance program for all business locations worldwide.

Ward's earlier work experience includes roles at Southern Company Services, CompuCredit, The Aware Group LLC, T3i Inc, and Kennesaw State University, where they gained significant experience in technology, regulatory compliance, risk management, and security practices.

Overall, Ward has demonstrated expertise in global security, data analytics, risk management, compliance, and building strategic direction for organizations.

Ward Pyles holds a Master's degree in Legal Studies, which they obtained from West Virginia University in 2011-2012. Before that, they attained a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Law, and Computer Ethics from Kennesaw State University in 2003-2005. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2001-2003. Additionally, Ward Pyles has obtained a certification in CISSP from (ISC)².
