Jared Svoboda has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jared is currently the Director of Operations at Kidsbooks since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Supply Chain Manager at Albert Whitman & Company from September 2019 to March 2020.
From 2014 to 2019, Jared served as the Director of Operations at Cottage Door Press, where they played a key role in establishing and managing all areas of operations for the children's book publishing company.
In 2015, Jared embarked on a world travel journey with their family, visiting numerous countries and experiencing different cultures and non-profit organizations. Jared held the position of Stay at Home Dad from December 2013 to August 2015, which they considered as the greatest and most challenging job.
Prior to that, Jared worked as the Director of Client Services at Veritas Document Solutions from April 2012 to December 2013. Jared gained valuable experience as the Senior Manufacturing Manager at Publications International from May 2004 to March 2012, leading a team of development and project managers.
Jared's early career includes roles as the Prepress Production/Technology Manager at World Book from June 1999 to May 2004, the Prepress Specialist/Production Manager at Shapco Printing from October 1998 to June 1999, and the Assistant Art Director at The Publishing Group/Graphics Unlimited from September 1996 to October 1998. In these positions, they focused on streamlining processes and implementing digitization initiatives to improve workflow and profitability.
Jared Svoboda received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, with focuses on Magazines and Human Relations, from Drake University between 1989 and 1993.

Kidsbooks is a privately held, successful publisher of high-quality, fiction and non-fiction children's books. All titles are educationally sound and incorporate "fun" as a learning tool. Kidsbooks markets our books primarily to blue-chip retailers, schools, libraries, and special markets. Kidsbooks' titles are available at Barnes & Noble, BJ's, Costco, Marshall's, Sam's, TJ Maxx, and more. About 100 new titles are published each year, complementing an active backlist library of over 500 "evergreen" titles. Formats include softcover, hardcover, board, and lift-the-flap books.
