Derek Shepherd Bsc Ceng Mimeche

Derek Shepherd BSc CEng MIMechE has over 35 years of engineering experience, currently serving as the Head of MEICA design at Kier Group since February 1993. In this role, Derek manages the M&E design section and provides design services primarily for water utilities, including notable clients such as United Utilities and Welsh Water. Prior to joining Kier Group, Derek worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Biwater from February 1990 to March 1993 and as a Draughtsman at Carter Bros (Rochdale) Ltd from September 1978 to February 1990. Academically, Derek holds a B.Sc in Engineering from Manchester Polytechnic and ONC & HNC qualifications from Rochdale Technical College.
