Ryan Melton

Ryan Melton is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Kilgore College since August 2019, focusing on courses such as College Algebra, Statistics, and Precalculus, and has developed open-source courseware for College Algebra and Precalculus. Prior to Kilgore College, Ryan served as a Math Instructor at Jacksonville College from August 2017 to June 2019, teaching a range of courses from Developmental Algebra through Calculus 1. Ryan's teaching experience includes four years as a High School Mathematics Teacher at Lufkin ISD, where Algebra 1, Computer Science, Math Models, and a dual-credit Finite Mathematics course were taught. In the early academic career, Ryan worked at Stephen F. Austin State University from 2011 to 2013 as a Grader, Adjunct Instructor, and Graduate Teaching Assistant, responsible for various mathematics courses. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, both from Stephen F. Austin State University.
