Telesa Via is currently the Vice President of Sales at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Telesa has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, starting their career as a Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Telesa quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Senior Sales Manager and eventually the Assistant Director of Sales.
In 2003, Telesa was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Dulles. Telesa successfully increased rooms revenue by 6% through increasing rate by 10.3% over 2005 during a year that the hotel underwent renovation. Telesa also implemented creative sales training and incentives resulting in 108% of group production YTD. In addition, they produced new revenue stream with top transient account and achieved 2 out of 8 ranking of market share on Hotelligence Report YTD.
The following year, Telesa took on the role of Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Telesa continued their success, increasing National Sales revenue by 100% over 2005. In 2007, they were recruited by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants to be their City Director of Sales & Marketing. Telesa held this position for 5 years before being promoted to their current role as Vice President of Sales.
Telesa Via has a BA in Communications from the University of Virginia and certification from McKinsey & Company in the Black Executive Leadership Program.
Telesa Via reports to Kathleen Reidenbach, Chief Commercial Officer. They are on a team with and Ben Stiefel - Vice President, Revenue Management & Distribution.
