James Tootill began their work experience in 2002 as a Production Engineer Apprentice at BMW (UK) Manufacturing Ltd. James then moved on to work at Quiksilver as a Data Entry/Analyst, where they handled database operations and created custom SQL generated reports. In 2010, James joined CSUF Mihaylo College of Business and Economics as a Finance Student. After that, they joined Hyundai Capital America in 2012, where they held various roles such as Commercial Credit Risk Intern, Sr. Analyst in Marketing Strategy, and Manager in Product Marketing, Strategy, and Development. In 2016, James started working at Nissan Motor Corporation in the Office of COO, focusing on Global Business Strategy, Planning, and Governance. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer at Kin Home since 2021.

James Tootill's education history includes attending California State University Fullerton, Mihaylo School of Business and Economics from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they pursued a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, James attended Irvine Valley College, where they completed their General Education and focused on Pre-Business studies.
