Alex Mitchell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2015, they worked at Vistaprint as a Sr. Product Manager, where they managed the Social Media Marketing and Local Listings products, and later became the Head of Websites and Identity Products. In 2017, they joined Upside Travel as the Director of Product, managing core eCommerce product flow, inventory, and platform teams. Alex then served as the Chief Product Officer at ICX Media from 2018 to 2020, where they set the company's product roadmap and goals. In 2019, they co-founded Bullseye Admissions and later ventured into founding The Modern Product Manager. Alex also worked as a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners and a Featured Speaker at Product School. In 2020 and 2021, they took on the roles of Director of Product at Kin Insurance and Founder / GP at Mitchell Ventures, respectively. Alex Mitchell brings a wealth of experience in product management, entrepreneurship, and investment to their roles.
Alex Mitchell completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from The George Washington University School of Business in the years 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 2007 to 2011. Alex also earned a minor degree in History from the University of Michigan during the same period. In addition to their formal education, Alex has obtained various certifications such as a DC Real Estate License, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Optimizely Platform Certification, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ), SAS Certified Advanced Programmer, SAS Certified Base Programmer, Series 7, and Series 65.
