Global Director Of Commercial Legal at Kin + Carta

Claire Starza-Allen has a diverse work experience, starting as a Head of Commercial at The Children's Society in 2014. Claire led the commercial department, managed contracts and grants, and implemented compliance and risk assessment strategies. In 2016, they also became a Board Trustee at The Advocacy Project and a Committee Member at the British Red Cross.

In 2017, Claire joined Kin + Carta as the Global Director of Commercial Legal, where they contributed to the firm's mission of helping businesses become digital. Claire also became a Senior Associate at NCVO, specializing in legal matters related to the non-profit sector.

Claire has continued to expand their expertise and impact in various roles, including their current positions. In 2020, they became a Board Member Trustee at Catch22 and served on the B20 Integrity and Compliance Taskforce. In 2021, they joined B20 Italy's Action Taskforce Sustainability and Global Emergencies. Additionally, they became the UK Sherpa for the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance in 2018 as part of their commitment to fostering entrepreneurship. Finally, in 2017, they co-founded Little Bee Community, an organization focused on community partnership.

Claire Starza-Allen has a diverse education history. In 2005, they completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Wolverhampton. Claire then pursued further legal studies at BPP Law School, where they obtained a degree in BVC (Bar Vocational Course) in 2010. In 2012, Claire attended the London School of Business and Finance LSBF to study Financial Risk.

Claire also has training and certifications in alternative dispute resolution. In 2016, they received accreditation as a Civil and Commercial Mediator from ADR Group - CMC. Claire further developed their expertise in dispute resolution by completing the Accelerated Route to Membership program at The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators from 2012 to 2018.

In addition to their legal and dispute resolution qualifications, Claire pursued further education in other areas. Claire obtained an Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland in 2019. Claire also completed a Mini MBA program in Business, People, Marketing, and Strategy at Birkbeck, University of London in 2014.

Claire has also acquired certifications in other disciplines. Claire obtained a certification in Certified General Data Protection Regulation Training (GDPR) - Foundation from IT Governance in 2017. Claire also received training in Contract and Commercial Management from World Commerce and Contracting in 2020.

Lastly, Claire has completed additional certifications in accounting and software proficiency. In 2002, they received an AAT Accountancy Level 4 certification from the Association of Accounting Technicians. Claire also attended STL Training for Advanced Excel and Word courses in 2011.
