Hilde Bastiaens is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in preventive care, particularly focused on infants and children. Currently serving as a Project Coordinator at the University of Antwerp since 2017, Bastiaens also works as a huisarts in Antwerpen and as a jeugdarts for Kind en Gezin. With a long-standing academic role as a Professor and Researcher at the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health since 1997, Bastiaens previously held positions as a jeugdarts at GGD Zeeland and conducted research at several organizations, including Domus Medica. Bastiaens holds a PhD in Medical Science and multiple master's degrees in Public Health and General Practice from respected institutions, including the University of Antwerp and KU Leuven.
