Marina Umaschi Bers

Marina Umaschi Bers is a Professor at Boston College since September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Co-founder and Chief Scientist at KinderLab Robotics, Inc. since January 2013. Marina has also worked as a Professor at Tufts University since 2001, focusing on designing technology-rich programs for children's development. Lastly, Marina was a Research Assistant at MIT Media Lab from 1995 to 2001.

Marina Umaschi Bers completed their Licenciada degree in Communication Studies at Buenos Aires University from 1989 to 1994. Marina then pursued their M.Ed in Educational Media and Technology at Boston University from 1994 to 1995. Continuing their academic journey, Marina Umaschi Bers obtained their Ph.D. in Media Laboratory from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1995 to 2001.
