William Mustard

Director Risk at Kindred Credit Union

William Mustard has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. William began their career in 1995 at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where they served as the Corporate Risk Manager for Canadian operations. In this role, they oversaw all risk operations and had financial responsibility for an $88 million risk portfolio.

In 2010, they joined Your Neighbourhood Credit Union, where they held various positions such as Director of Risk & Business Intelligence and VP of Risk & Compliance. In these roles, they led and managed risk, compliance, and intelligence teams, striving to strengthen the credit union's risk management foundation and expand business intelligence capabilities.

In 2008, William founded Nida Investment Holdings Ltd., a residential real estate corporation focused on meeting the housing needs of the Kitchener-Waterloo community.

Currently, they are working at Kindred Credit Union as the Director of Risk, CAMLO. Here, they lead and supports the ERM, AML, and Fraud teams to achieve exceptional results and continuous improvement in risk management and governance.

William Mustard obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English & Economics from York University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their degree, they also hold the Canadian Risk Management designation, which they obtained in January 2008 from the Global Risk Management Institute in New York. William is also certified as a 6 Sigma Green Belt, having obtained this certification from TQM Networks in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in September 2000.
