Katie Wendel

Katie Wendel is a seasoned transportation planner with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Transportation Planner at King County, WA, since May 2023, Katie has previously held roles at Fehr & Peers as a Transportation Planner and Senior Marketing Coordinator, and at the City of Tukwila as the Lead Transportation Outreach Coordinator. Contributions include partnering with various stakeholders for transportation planning and community outreach initiatives. Additional experience includes leadership roles in volunteer organizations, such as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Peachtree Creek Greenway, and a commitment to Safe Routes to School programs. Katie holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Washington and a BA in International Relations from Pomona College.
