Khaled AlBarrak, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans across various roles and companies. Khaled is currently serving as the Dean of Development and Quality Assurance at King Faisal University, a position they have held since August 2021. In addition, they are also the Director of Strategic Planning and Institution Identity at the same university, a role they started in June 2022. Prior to these positions, Khaled was the Head of Management Information System Department starting from January 2020. Khaled had previously served as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the university from 2019 to 2022 and from 2012 to 2019, respectively.

Before joining King Faisal University, Khaled had a brief stint as a Visiting Researcher at Calit2/UCSD, a division of UC San Diego, in 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a System Engineer at Yokogawa for a period of six months in 2009. Khaled'searliest work experience was an internship at Saudi Aramco, where they worked as an intern for three months in 2008. Overall, Khaled's work experience showcases their expertise in academia, strategic planning, information systems, and engineering.

Khaled AlBarrak, PhD, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from King Faisal University in 2009. In 2011, they attended Rochester Institute of Technology for Computer Science studies. In the same year, they also pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on AI & Data mining at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology). Finally, they completed their education with a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Web and Internet Science, from the University of Southampton between 2014 and 2018.
