Bennie Johnston

Bennie Johnston is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the engineering and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Technology at King since November 2024, Bennie previously held various leadership roles at Just Eat Takeaway.com from August 2012 to July 2024, including Director of Engineering for Customer Products, Head of Site Reliability Engineering, and Head of Technology for UK Consumer Products, among others. Bennie's efforts centered around unifying engineering teams, improving system reliability, and aligning technical roadmaps with business goals. Prior to Just Eat, Bennie worked as a Lead Developer at Rank Interactive and as a Delivery Lead at Betgenius, contributing to high-transaction software solutions and team leadership. Bennie began the technical career at Orbiz International Ltd as a Team Lead after earning a Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (Hons) from The University of Waikato.
