Amruthkiran Hegde

Amruthkiran Hegde, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist at Kingsbury, Inc. since June 2022, with prior experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama from August 2017 to June 2022. During this time, Amruthkiran was involved in projects focused on supersonic boundary layer interaction (SBLI) through experimental design, flow visualization, and computational modeling. A stint at NASA Ames Research Center as a Materials Scientist/Engineer in 2021 included contributions to a project on CFD solution quality. Additional experience includes roles as a CAD Tooling Engineer and Engineer Intern, where Amruthkiran developed CAD models and engaged in wind tunnel component design. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Alabama, a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
