Heather Smith

Heather Smith is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Ancoris Capital Partners, a specialty investment bank for the private capital markets.

The firm raises equity and debt for privately-held businesses, public companies and alternative investment firms. Heather has over 25 years of experience in the private placement industry, having raised approximately $13.5 billion in equity and debt capital for over 170 companies in the U.S., Europe, and South America.

Before co-founding Ancoris, Heather was the Head of Private Placement groups on Wall Street for 12 years, including Deutsche Bank. She also ran groups at Houlihan Lokey, DCS Advisory and Greentech Capital Advisors.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Heather spent 10 years collectively at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (Credit Suisse) and Prudential Securities in their private capital markets groups.

Heather was selected as one of 2018’s Most Influential Women in M&A by Mergers & Acquisitions.

Heather holds a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Harvard University and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
