Michel Assaad, MBA P.Eng

Michel Assaad, MBA P.Eng has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Currently, they hold a role in Corporate Continuous Improvement at Kingston Midstream, where they are responsible for optimizing systems and infrastructure to support energy producers, shippers, and refiners.

Prior to that, Michel worked at SaskPower in the CPIO Office from September 2018 to October 2019. Michel also served as a Partner at Sharp Management Associates from February 2018 to September 2018, where they provided consulting services and developed effective strategies for clients.

In their previous role at Cenovus Energy, Michel held various positions from August 2010 to February 2018. As the Operational Excellence Lead, they provided governance, tools, and expertise in business process improvement. Michel also led a Continuous Improvement team, focusing on value generation and efficiency gain.

During their time at Schlumberger, Michel held several leadership positions, including Canada HSE and Execution Excellence Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Manager, Business Development Manager, Operations Manager, Field Service Manager, and Field Engineer. Michel was responsible for implementing QHSE policies and standards, increasing market share, developing key services, executing business development strategies, managing operations, and introducing new technology.

Michel Assaad holds a BE degree in Electrical Engineering, which they earned from the American University of Beirut, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Michel later pursued an Executive MBA from the Haskayne School of Business, completing the program between 2017 and 2019.
