Nicola Thivessen

Nicola Thivessen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nicola currently holds the role of Director of Group Compliance at Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward since January 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of Compliance at Chestertons from September 2014 to November 2019, where they were responsible for ensuring compliance functions and implementing new policies. Nicola also worked as a Senior Corporate Client Manager at Charities Aid Foundation from July 2013 to August 2014. Before that, they served as an Associate Director at Chesterton Humberts from August 2010 to June 2013. Nicola started their career as a Senior Tenancy Negotiator at Countrywide Plc from September 2008 to August 2010. Nicola also gained experience as a Merchandise Admin Assistant at Arcadia Group Ltd from August 2007 to September 2008 and as a Tenancy Negotiator at Countrywide Plc from July 2006 to August 2007. Nicola's earliest work experience was as an English Teacher at the University of Nanhai from August 2005 to July 2006.

Nicola Thivessen attended Watford Grammar School for Girls from 1993 to 2000, where they completed their A Levels in German, English, and Maths. Following their time at Watford, they went on to pursue higher education at UCL from 2000 to 2005. Nicola earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German and Italian during this period. In 2016, Nicola obtained an Advanced Certificate in Anti Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association.
