Cassidy Harpster has had a diverse work experience. Cassidy began their career as a Platoon Leader in the US Army Reserves, where they successfully led combat operations and maintained accountability for a large amount of equipment. Cassidy then transitioned into civilian roles, starting as a Site Manager at Freight Handlers, Inc, where they were responsible for managing operations and supporting the welfare of associates.

Cassidy then worked as a Software Engineer at ByteCubed, providing full stack programming skills and supporting the development of software solutions for the Department of Defense. Cassidy also joined a team dedicated to a major enterprise project for the Market Research Center of Excellence.

Cassidy built major features such as the site search feature and a pet-themed word guessing game. Cassidy also helped launch a subscription service bundling Kinship's products.

Cassidy Harpster obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Central Florida, which they attended from 2009 to 2011. In 2015 to 2016, they pursued a Full Stack Web Development Certificate from General Assembly. Additionally, they hold additional certifications, including a Microsoft Technology Associate certification obtained in August 2017 and an Active Secret Security Clearance obtained from the United States Department of Defense in May 2011. Cassidy also completed a course called "Shaping up with Angular.js" at Code School, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
