Alliyah Cherry is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in instructional roles. Currently serving as the Lead Interventionist at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since July 2020, Alliyah has successfully managed a large-scale Response to Intervention program for 2,500 students, resulting in a 30% increase in academic growth. Previously, as a reading teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools from July 2018 to May 2020, Alliyah fostered essential communication and critical thinking skills among students from underserved communities. Additionally, Alliyah has experience teaching 2nd grade at DeKalb County School District, focusing on holistic student development and engagement through diverse teaching resources. Alliyah began the career as a long-term substitute teacher at Pleasantville Public Schools and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.
