Kelly Trinidad

Kelly Trinidad has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Their most recent position is Managing Director of Elementary Academics at KIPP Nashville Public Schools since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at the same organization from January to April 2022. From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at KIPP New Jersey, including Associate Director of New Teacher Development and Director of Elementary Literacy Curriculum. Before that, they were a Grade 5 Teacher & Instructional Leader at Unity Charter School from 2017 to 2018. Kelly also served as an Education Manager at Success Academy Charter Schools from 2016 to 2017. Kelly has experience in leadership roles as Grade Level Chair and Lead Teacher at KIPP New Jersey from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Founding Third Grade Teacher at Foundation Academies from 2013 to 2014. Kelly started their career in education as a 2012 Corps Member at Teach For America and also worked as a First Grade Teacher at the School District of Philadelphia in 2012-2013. Kelly gained experience as a Literacy Tutor at America Reads from 2011 to 2012.

Kelly Trinidad completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from New York University in 2012. Kelly later pursued a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2014. Kelly holds a NJ K-6 Standard Teaching Certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.
