Associate Director Of Talent at KIPP Northern California

Giselle Andrade, MSEd, has a diverse work experience in education and talent recruitment. Giselle is currently working as an Associate Director of Talent at KIPP Public Schools Northern California, where they started in July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Talent Recruitment Manager at the same organization from July 2022 to July 2023.

Giselle has also gained experience as an English Spanish Translator at the Sun Valley Museum of Art since February 2022. Giselle served as the Bay Area Recruitment Lead at Teach For America from September 2022 to May 2023. Additionally, they were a Latino Board Leadership Academy Fellow at the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley from August to October 2022.

Their previous teaching experience includes being a Bilingual Elementary Teacher at Voices College-Bound Language Academies from July 2020 to June 2022, where they collaborated with a team to create an innovative instructional model and instructed students in various subjects. Giselle also briefly served as a Middle School English Teacher at the same organization in July and August 2021.

Giselle started their teaching career as a Corps Member at Teach For America in June 2020. Giselle participated in a rigorous summer training program and taught in a summer school program for under-resourced public school students. Giselle also held leadership roles within Teach For America, including Welcome Committee Lead and Innovation Collaboration Lead, from October 2021 to May 2022.

Prior to their teaching career, Giselle worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Sun Valley Community School from January to May 2020. Giselle also gained experience as a Spanish Tutor at the University of Idaho from August 2018 to December 2019. Additionally, they served as an Oral History Intern at The Community Library Association Inc. during June and July 2019.

Giselle Andrade holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Idaho. Giselle also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Idaho, as well as a BA degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Additionally, Giselle Andrade holds a BA degree in French Language and Literature from Institut catholique de Paris. Giselle furthered their education by earning a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from National University.
