Ryan Weidmann has a diverse work experience spanning various educational organizations. Ryan started their career in 2006 as a Teach For America Corps Member, where they taught Spanish. In 2008, they joined Baltimore City Public Schools as a Spanish Teacher and later moved to Baltimore County Public Schools as the World Languages Department Chair and Spanish Teacher. In 2015, Ryan transitioned to KIPP Bay Area Public Schools, where they initially served as a Spanish Teacher and Grade Level Chair and later became a Talent Manager responsible for full-cycle recruitment for five high schools. During their tenure at KIPP Bay Area Public Schools, they achieved a 45% increase in recruited applications and a 30% increase in application to hire conversion rate. In 2019, Ryan joined KIPP Public Schools Northern California as an Associate Director of Talent, where they personally managed full-cycle recruitment for 10 schools and consistently exceeded recruitment goals. In February 2022, they were promoted to the role of Director of Talent.
Ryan Weidmann has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. Ryan began their undergraduate education in 2002 at Loyola University Maryland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology & Spanish. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2006, Ryan went on to further their education at The Johns Hopkins University. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in Secondary Spanish. In addition to their studies in the United States, Ryan also engaged in Spanish studies at Universidad de Alcalá in 2004, focusing on Lengua y literatura española.
