Maria Lantigua

Maria Lantigua is an experienced educator with a background in English and Exceptional Student Education. Currently serving as the English Department Chair and High School English Teacher at KIPP NYC since July 2015, Maria previously held the position of Middle School English Lead Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools. Maria's teaching experience includes roles at Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where responsibilities encompassed developing rigorous curricula for students in special education and differentiating lessons for English Language Learners. In addition to teaching, Maria has contributed as a sponsor for the Hispanic Heritage Club and as a head softball coach, focusing on student development and community engagement. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Hispanic Studies from Columbia University.
