Shameka Edmond Smith

Shameka Edmond Smith is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within K-12 settings. Currently serving as Principal in Residence at KIPP NYC, Shameka focuses on developing leadership skills while supporting instructional coaching and strategic planning. Previous positions include Associate Director of Operations, overseeing administrative functions at a K-8 school, and serving as a Founding Teacher and Instructional Dean, where efforts included teacher coaching and enhancing student culture and academic performance. Shameka's educational background includes a Master’s in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College, and a recent certificate in Life Coaching & Executive Coaching from CTEDU.
