Carlos Lanuza

Carlos Lanuza has extensive experience in the education sector. Carlos started their career in 2002 as a Middle School Teacher at Compton Unified School District, where they worked until 2008. Carlos then joined KIPP LA Schools as the Director of High School Placement from 2008 to 2011. Following that, they became the Principal at KIPP Los Angeles College Preparatory from 2011 to 2018. Since 2018, they have been working as the Director of Schools at KIPP SoCal Public Schools.

Carlos Lanuza has a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary School Administration/Principalship from Loyola Marymount University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History/Chicano Studies from California State University-Dominguez Hills from 1998 to 2002.
