Nicole D'Auvergne has a range of experience in the education field, starting with their current role as a First Grade Teacher at KIPP SoCal Public Schools since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Resident Teacher at the same school from June 2021 to June 2022. Additionally, they worked as an Instructional Assistant at KIPP SoCal Public Schools from June 2019 to June 2021.
Before joining KIPP SoCal Public Schools, Nicole worked at City Year Los Angeles as an Americorps Member from July 2018 to June 2019. In this role, they collaborated with teachers and school counselors to provide academic and socio-emotional support to students at Sal Castro Middle School. Nicole also co-led an afterschool enrichment program, secured donations from businesses for school events, and collaborated with a diverse team for event planning. During their time at City Year Los Angeles, they also served as a Communication Coordinator from July 2018 to June 2019.
Nicole D'Auvergne holds a Master's degree in Education from the Alder Graduate School of Education, which they obtained between 2021 and 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge. In addition to their degrees, they also obtained an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in September 2018.
