Shane Traister has a range of diverse work experience. Shane currently works as the Director of Workforce Analytics at KIPP SoCal Public Schools, a position they have held since November 2022.
Prior to that, Shane worked at Teach For America, where they held several roles. From February 2019 to November 2022, they served as the Director of Data, Reporting, and Analytics, where they were responsible for standardized reporting and dashboards. Shane also innovated and maintained over 10 reports per year in PowerBI and developed responsive templates to accelerate report building time. Shane trained teammates in using data systems for ad-hoc reporting.
Before that, Shane was the Manager of Strategic Data Consultation & Support at Teach For America from September 2016 to February 2019. In this role, they created and managed an internal participant data hub and responded to data requests about participants and alumni.
Shane's earlier experience includes working as a Director of University Operations at Teach For America from January 2015 to August 2016. Additionally, they worked as an SDC Teacher at Pinole Middle School from August 2011 to June 2016, where they taught various subjects, analyzed student achievement data, and led an intervention team.
In previous roles, Shane served as the Director of Data and Assessments at Teach For America from January 2013 to August 2014 and as a School Operations Manager from January 2012 to August 2012.
Furthermore, Shane gained relevant experience as an Electrics Workstudy at the UC Berkeley Theater Department from January 2011 to June 2011, where they assisted with the installation of lighting fixtures, audio/visual equipment, and supervised rigging activities.
Shane Traister attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theater.
