Zya De La Rosa began their educational journey as an instructional aide for McSwain District in 2015. Their advocacy continued at IS 291 in Brooklyn, NY, where they worked to ensure all students had equal access to education. After gaining experience as a Behavioral Interventionist (BI) at The Accelerated Charter Schools (TAHS), Zya De La Rosa honed their skills in working with students across various age groups, ranging from elementary to high school. Today, Zya De La Rosa is in their third year as a special day program teacher at KIPP Endeavor College Prep, where they remain deeply committed to advocating for the success of every student.
Zya De La Rosa earned their Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Exceptional Youth and Children from Stanislaus State in 2018. Their dedication to supporting students with disabilities led them to pursue a Moderate/Severe Disabilities credential at California State University Los Angeles, in 2021. Throughout their career, Zya De La Rosa remains driven to advocate and ensure all learners have equitable educational opportunities.
