Marquis Edwards

Marquis Edwards, MBA, has extensive experience in school operations and financial management, currently serving as the Regional Manager of School Operations and previously as Senior Business Manager at KIPP Texas Public Schools since 2008. Responsibilities include co-managing a $2 million annual operating budget, providing financial reports and analyses to the Board, overseeing cash flow planning, and managing the annual budget process. Prior to KIPP Texas, Marquis held the position of Operations Director at Accelerated Intermediate Academy, where responsibilities included managing vendor relations, transportation, and food service, as well as organizing data for the Texas Education Agency. Earlier experience as a PEIMS Consultant at Daystar Education involved data collection and accuracy verification for state submissions. Marquis holds an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management and a BA in History/English from Prairie View A&M University.
