Senior Director Of Strategic Scaling Projects at KIPP Texas Public Schools

McKenzie Gadis has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career as a Public Relations Intern for Turner Broadcasting in 2009 and then worked as an Intern for ARPR Marketing. In 2010, they became a Teacher at True North Rochester Preparatory Charter School. From 2012 to 2017, they held the position of Coaching Teacher and Grade Level Chair at KIPP Metro Atlanta. In 2017, they joined KIPP Texas Public Schools as an Assistant Principal before being promoted to Principal in 2019. Currently, McKenzie is working as the Senior Director of Strategic Scaling Projects at KIPP Texas Public Schools, where their focus is on planning, collaboration, growth, and monitoring of school expansion in Texas and other regions. They also served as a Graduate Fellow at Teaching Trust from 2018 to 2020.

McKenzie Gadis earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in English from Spelman College from 2006 to 2010. In 2018, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Urban Education and Leadership at Southern Methodist University, which they completed in 2020.
