Mark Woodland

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Kismet

Mark Woodland is a seasoned entrepreneur and Australian business magnate. As the Founder and CEO of Kismet, and the mastermind behind Xplor, Mark has been at the forefront of innovative ventures. His impressive trajectory includes his role as the Founder and CEO of Xplor between December 2016 to May 2024, where he launched groundbreaking projects like Xplor Space, Data as a Service, and the Xplor Super App. Under his leadership, Xplor developed its 2025 product strategy, extended its global presence in the childcare sector through strategic mergers, and seamlessly integrated Xplor Home and Xplor Playground with QikKids and Discover.

In just half a decade, Mark evolved Xplor from a startup into a behemoth with over 10,500 centers, which was later acquired by Clearent, culminating in the birth of Xplor Technologies. Beyond Xplor, Mark's leadership prowess shone through in executive roles at Discover by Xplor, MyWaitlist, and QikKids, where he served as CEO from 2021 to 2024.

However, before delving into the entrepreneurial realm, Mark proudly served in the Australian Army. His illustrious military career ranged from being a Foreign Language Training Officer to a Psychological Examiner and a Forward Observer. Notably, he was part of the esteemed Royal Australian Artillery and the Australian Army Psychology Corps and played an integral role in Operation Relex.

Before embarking on his military journey, Mark co-founded Woodland Education in 2009, a childcare service with an emphasis on expansive educational opportunities, where he held the position of CEO until 2016. Mark's rich tapestry of experiences defines him as a visionary leader, always looking ahead.
