Joe Comeau

Joe Comeau has over 13 years of experience in UX/UI design, creative direction, and teaching. In 2021, they began as UX Manager for Kit Check. From 2019 to 2021, they held the roles of Team Lead, UX Design and Senior UX Designer at TraceLink. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior UX Designer at Magenic, where they led UX Design for industry leading clients and conducted UX research. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Sr UI/UX Designer at Tufts University, where they lead UX and Design initiatives and conducted user testing, ethnographic studies, and competitive analysis. From 2008 to 2012, they held the roles of Creative Director, UI/UX Designer, Illustrator, and Instructor for various companies and direct clients. From 2006 to 2010, they were Adjunct Faculty and Director - Graphic and Web Design at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. During this time, they developed curriculum and course materials and managed an administrative staff of four and an instructor pool of 15. From 2010 to 2012, they were Adjunct Faculty at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University, where they developed curriculum and taught Interactive Design and Advanced Topics in Interactive Design courses. From 2004 to 2006, they were Senior Designer at Globus Family of Brands, where they were the Creative Lead for Globus Vacations, Monograms, and Avalon Waterways and mentored junior design staff.

Joe Comeau attended Roger Williams University from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature (British and Commonwealth).
