Luis Parra

Luis Parra is the VP of Finance and Accounting at Kitchen United. Luis has over 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Prior to joining Kitchen United, Luis was the US Controller for Wavestream. In this role, they were responsible for leading day-to-day operations and month-end close process in compliance with SOX requirements. Luis also provided sound support as an accounting and finance business partner across various business functions.

In their previous role, Luis also applied Throughput Accounting concepts in aligning strategies and driving action in sales & business development, engineering R&D and manufacturing operations initiatives. Luis reported timely budget to actual revenue and operational goals measured by net profit, return on investment, and cash flow management. In addition, they also established and maintained inventory controls and assessed the effectiveness of strategic sourcing, procurement and costing practices from R&D through production.

Luis has also pursued continuous improvement efforts by facilitating assessment of the effectiveness of existing SOPs, technologies and software used in operations such as Inventory Management/Cycle Counting; Equipment Rental Management; and Order Fulfillment/Master Production Scheduling alignment. Luis has also prepared financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP, which are used in the Gilat Satellite Communications (parent company) 20-F SEC filing. In addition, they have assessed the impact of changes in accounting principles to the business and communicated to key stakeholders timely. Recent analysis includes ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts and ASC 742 Leasing.

Currently, as VP of Finance and Accounting at Kitchen United, Luis manages, coaches, and mentors accounting and finance team members. Luis also assists in the coordination with external auditors and oversees the relationship with the tax compliance professionals.

Luis Parra received a Bachelor's of Science in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge. Luis is certified by The Institute of Internal Auditors as a Certified Internal Auditor and by the California Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
