Austin Markman

Austin Markman has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Austin began their career in 2003 as a Restaurant General Manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where they quickly rose through the ranks and was given their own store within the first year. Austin then transferred to Arizona and maintained a full time multi-unit management status while taking 21 credit hours. In 2009, they were a Restaurant General Manager at Station Casinos, where they wrote and developed an Operation Manual and Training Guide that increased profitability at all 5 stores. In 2010, they were the General Manager of Zaba's Mexican Grill, where they oversaw 5 stores and worked directly with the owner to troubleshoot each store to increase profitability and drive bottom line profits. In 2013, they were the Owner of Baked Chef LLC, a start up company focusing on delivering the highest quality, gluten free food geared towards the sports fan and entertainment. In 2014, they were the Director of Operations at Compass Group USA. In 2016, they were the General Manager at Ruth's Chris Steak House. In 2019, they were the Director of Restaurants at RS3 Strategic Hospitality. Most recently, in 2021, they were the Associate Director, Performance Food Services at Kitchfix.

Austin Markman holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Hospitality Administration/Management from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, and has also studied Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies Psychology at Arizona State University.
