Leslie Asensio

Leslie Asensio has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources. Leslie began their career in 2003 as Regional Administrator at Professional Grounds Services, LLC. In 2005, they joined Collins & Aikman as a Human Resources Specialist, and then The Professional Group as Human Resources Manager. From 2006 to 2007, Leslie was Human Resources Manager at WaterSaver Faucet Co., and then Human Resources Manager at Lakewood Engineering & Manufacturing. In 2008, they joined The Millard Group as Human Resources Manager. From 2012 to 2016, Leslie was Director of Human Resources at Entertainment Cruises Inc. Leslie then joined RXBAR as VP People & Organization, where they were the 1st HR hire and part of Leadership team for a fast-growing early-stage CPG startup. Leslie built out the HR function, hired & developed a People team of 7, and supported scaling the business from 25 to 200+ employees, and from $21M to $160M in 2.5 years. From 2019 to 2021, Leslie was Head of People at Brideside, and is currently Head of People at Kitchfix.

Leslie Asensio began their educational journey at Troy High School. Leslie then went on to receive a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development & Social Relations and Spanish from Kalamazoo College. In 2018, they earned a HR Executive Suite Connection from Harvard Business School. In 2021, Leslie completed a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) program from the Nutritional Therapy Association. Leslie also holds additional certifications in Nutritional Therapy Practioner from the Nutritional Therapy Association, obtained in November 2021, and Hogan Assessment Certification- Level 1 from Hogan Assessment Systems, obtained in August 2018.
