Ian Durham

Curation lead and sensory algorithm development lead at Kitchology

Ian Durham has a long work history beginning in 1998 when they co-founded and became President of Durham Research, Inc. In this role, they developed an interactive educational program in conjunction with NASA, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and AZ Technology, Inc. and won a SBIR Phase I award from NSF. In 2001, they began working as an Instructor of Physics at Simmons College. In 2004, they began working at Saint Anselm College as a Professor of Physics and has held various roles in this position, including Chair, Director of Computational Physical Sciences Program, and Acting Chair of the Mathematics department. In 2009, they became the Chief Science Officer at Global Import Export/NanoAxis. In 2010, they co-founded and became the Chief Science Officer of Quantum Technology Group. In 2011, they began working as the Curation lead and sensory algorithm development lead at Kitchology and co-founded qPh\u014ds, where they are the Chief Technology Officer. Finally, in 2012, they became the Sole Proprietor of Dark Harbour Productions.

Ian Durham completed their educational history with a PhD in Mathematical Physics from the University of St Andrews, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Applied Physics from The Johns Hopkins University from 1998 to 2001. Ian began their educational journey with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo from 1992 to 1997.
