Ryan B Harvey, CSDP, CSM has a diverse work experience. From 2012 to 2016, they were an IT Project Manager at the Executive Office of the President's Office of Management and Budget. From 2016 to 2021, they held various positions including Brigade Captain and Chief Data Wrangler at Code for New Orleans, Research Associate (Pro Bono) and Adjunct Instructor at Loyola University New Orleans, Senior Software Engineer at Healthify, Sr. Backend & Data Engineer at TED Conferences, and Data Scientist and Software Architect at Kitchology. In 2020, they became a Board Member at The St. Charles Center for Faith + Action. In 2022, they began volunteering as a Mentor for FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2992, and they are currently a Staff Software Engineer at Screencastify.

Ryan B then obtained a BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Japanese Studies from Loyola University New Orleans in 2001. Ryan B continued their education at the University of Maryland, where they earned an MS in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation in 2007, along with Graduate Certificates in Scientific Computation and Computational Harmonic Analysis. Ryan B also earned a Certificate in Innovation Management from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2010. Finally, they completed a PhD Candidate (ABD) in Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Scientific Computing from the University of Maryland in 2014. Additionally, Harvey has obtained various certifications from Coursera and DataCamp, including Executive Data Science Specialization, A Crash Course in Data Science, Building a Data Science Team, Data Science in Real Life, Managing Data Analysis, Intermediate R, and Exploratory Data Analysis.
