Sophie Lambin has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 1994, they started their career as a Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting. From 2000 to 2005, Sophie served as the Executive Director and Publisher of European Business Forum Ltd, where they led the production of a quarterly management publication. Following that, they joined PwC as the Director of Global Thought Leadership, where they developed and executed strategy, managed partnerships, and represented the company at global events like the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. In 2013, Sophie briefly worked as the Interim Communications Director at WBCSD. Sophie then became an Editorial Partner at the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society in 2017, contributing a gendered perspective on global issues. In 2019, they joined The New York Times as a Content Partner for the Climate Hub. Since 2012, Sophie has also been the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Kite Insights, a research and communications agency focused on socio-economic and environmental issues.
Sophie Lambin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomechanics at Université catholique de Louvain from 1986 to 1990. Sophie then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from 1988 to 1991 at the same university. Sophie also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Business Management and Administration from Université catholique de Louvain from 1990 to 1991. In 2006, they attended the INSEAD Executive Programme on Women leading change in global business. Later, in 2008, Sophie participated in the Forward Thinking Executive Programme at the University of Cambridge, focusing on climate change, sustainable production and consumption, energy, and sustainable finance.
